Have you tested your water pressure recently?
Most homeowners are not aware of the dangers of high-water pressure entering your home and what it can do to your home.
Flooding= High pressure will cause failure of water system causing leaks at weakest link.
Repairs= Extreme water pressure will cause premature breaks in water piping and can cause fixtures to leak
Have your pressure tested annually to prevent unwanted repairs. Water heaters to sink faucets are rated for a lower pressure than provided by the city water system. Pressure reducing valves reduce the high pressure to a safe level however they fail, and pressure is not limited causing leaks, breaks, ect.
Have you flushed the water heater?
Maintenance for all types of water heaters is required to ensure the longevity of the system.
Many don’t know that all water heaters need to be flushed to reduce the buildup of scale and deposits created by hard water. Flushing should be completed once per year and for tankless systems they should be flushed twice per year. This reduces premature failure of system.
